The 2015 Cambridge - McKinsey Risk Prize
Risk Prize Overview
The Centre for Risk Studies, in conjunction with McKinsey & Company, is pleased to announce the 2015 annual risk prize. An award will be made for the best submission on risk management by a current student at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
The winner and two honourable mentions will be announced in early June 2015. The winner will be awarded a prize of £3,000 at the Cambridge Risk Centre's annual conference on 22-23 June 2015. The prize award ceremony will be at a plenary session attended by finance, industry and academic delegates. Judges will include members of McKinsey's Global Risk Practice, the Editor-in-Chief of the McKinsey Working Papers, and members of the Centre for Risk Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School. Eligibility for the prize and honourable mentions requires attendance of the prize award ceremony.
Entries should be in the form of an illustrated document no longer than 10 pages, including appendices and references. Exhibits and data tables are encouraged. The subject matter should be broadly related to risk management including governance, risk in strategy, risk modelling, risk metrics, or risk as a general subject. Potential subjects include regulation, corporations, global strategy and financial institutions.
Entrants taking the Easter Term elective, Risk Management and Strategic Planning, may submit their course projects for the risk prize. The prize is open to all students at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
Submission Process & Deadline
Entries must be submitted as a single document in PDF format by midnight 3 March 2015 by emailing email@example.com with a subject line of "RISK PRIZE: your name and paper title". The PDF document must include:
- Title page
- A paper of 10 pages or less
- Signed prize declaration and bio-sketch/photo page form (docx, 372KB)
